Whilst working for the experience design studio Tellart in Amsterdam, I was able to contribute to the development of an exhibition they were creating for the Van Gogh Museum. The piece sat in an exhibition that explored the emotional journey Vincent went through on the way to making some of his greatest paintings in the South of France. The arrangement of seeds in the center of the sunflower follows the Fibonacci sequence. A number of materials to represent the sunflower were explored but the balance of simplicity and complexity made fabricating the piece out of molten glass the optimal solution.
